Investors have been willing to pay a premium for AI exposure in hardware and infrastructure plays, but professional services firms have not yet commanded the same multiple expansion, partly because the margin profile of AI consulting work is still being established. A strong quarter with raised guidance would be the first real evidence that the premium is structurally justified rather than aspirational.
